It is quite normal for silver to rise or drop a fair bit during the light Christmas / New Years trading markets. It usually settles down in the first couple of weeks in January.

Silver has closed above $36 AUD for the week. We are currently sitting at a resistance level of $24USD, so next week will be interesting. The next resistance points are $26, $28 and the infamous $30 US.

A nice little boost overnight. Vertical green lines put silver in the overbought territory. We'll probably get a sharp pull back at some point but at least we've broken through the $24 resistance and it will now act as Support.

Monthly chart looks good though 8) there will likely be a lot of resistance along the way but closing at the $28-$29 USD level by the end of the month isn't out of the question. Any gains could be offset by a weaker USD but that's generally how it works.

There's definitely been a shift in public perception. New stackers entering the scene are probably going to think they got in "early"  ;D I feel we're going to find out just how small the market really is. Speculation is one thing but FEAR is the bigger driving force. It could be like 1979-80 except with 'industrial necessity' afterburners.
