Silver Price Watch

I was just thinking the same thing. It does look like it's on a downward trajectory on the monthly charts though. It could hit circa $1700 USD over the next month or so, but who knows what the AUD will be compared to USD over that period? Might offset any "losses" in AUD terms.

It's moments like these that make me feel relieved to hold a long-term view on my PM positions. I haven't bought anything except hand poured silver from Smithys Bullion and a few Silver shield collector pieces since March 2020. If silver drops into the mid teens again and there's product to be had, I'll be pouncing on that opportunity.

It makes you wonder, too. With the rising
Price of oil, what is the overall cost to produce an ounce of silver these days? It still feels cheap at these prices, but would be a licensed to print tangible wealth if it drops much lower in this environment. Interesting times...

I've noticed ABC Bullion have just removed their 500g and 100oz bars from their website.
They only have 10oz bars available to order and 1kg + 5kg bars for pre-order.

Isn't it interesting. Silver drops in price but premiums don't drop with it. On a % basis, premiums have increased recently. On a $$ basis, premiums have also increased on some products, particularly coins and rounds.

Boy am I happy to have acquired what i did in 2018 and March 2020. I don't see silver prices going back to $19-20 an Oz in AUD anytime soon.

all prices and inflations up, why should the 50 cents premium on coins be lowered?
the dealers should charge the same as the ASE, the premium that is just through the roof
majority of food items are up, 50 cents for meals and 10 to 20 cents for drinks
transports up, fuels up
nothing seems to go down or on sale right now

Except for Silver. It's going down and it's on sale  ;D

I'm paying close attention to the Monthly chart. If we can finish this month above $23, I think we might be on the verge of a breakout similar to 2009.

I think we could very well be seeing a bear trap unfolding. The next 6 weeks will be very interesting.
