I think AI got that wrong. but interesting topic none the less.
Personally if you were wanting to survive some serious economic crash end of fiat type situation, for a longer term you would need at least a few thousand ounces Likely closer to 10k ounces IMO.
I couldnt see a few hundred ounces going very far,

I keep my stack around 1000 ounces And I wouldnt expect tobe able to live on that for decades If there was a huge end of fiat situation, obviously be better off than some one with none, But Id expect people with quality food to be asking allot for it, because I know I would ask allot of silver for me to part with something from My gardens or food inventory.

But on an investment side I think 1000 is an ok number not great or life changing though, 100 to 250 Is a bit light IMO, the 250 is good for some one on the journey to higher numbers, BUT You need other investment besides just silver as well, Eg a house you own outright or have low mortgage on, I dont mean a house you are in insane debt with. But people need housing security.
Any way thats my opinion
Obviously any silver is better than none But i dont think a 150 ounces will buy some one a house in a city any time soon. but its a good start but not solid protection. If Inflation got worse and pushed silver to $1000 an ounce a stock of 150 ounces, $150k wouldnt go very far in that situation, id imagine everything else would be stupidly over price as well, so not enough tobe considered protection, But It would have been money well spent though if you bought it in the Double digits, so a good investment for only a few grand outlaid, but not enough for a full hedge or life changing.

the Uber rich guys protecting their wealth they would have tens or Hundreds of millions of dollars worth.
