Maybe if you put 1oz of shot in and heated it up in the burnout furnace, if it gets hot enough, it won't spread out good on a pour, but maybe in a hot furnace it would spread out? That back is pretty thick.

The back looks close to 1oz itself. I have one here and it's hard to see it being thick enough to take a whole oz out of it.
