Silver Will Stun Investors By Surging Above $50 In 2022

The issue with remelts is that you can lose up to 3% of the original metal. Also you need to pay for the remelting, between both, it is not worth it.

Smithy makes cool things, but not low premium.
the cost of going to a refinery or mint to make a small run wouldn't be worth it, slicing a 1000oz bar up would cost a few blades, stamping them would be cool, so long as they have 999 stamped on them they're considered bullion. getting perfect kg slices would be a challenge. but odd weights wouldn't be that bad.
But it's a lot of silver, this is a small forum still, 1000 oz might be a bit much. I'd take 1kg, only 31 to go.

The silly premiums have been good for me as a tight arse because they forced me out of silver into gold.
The last two years have been fantastic for learning a lot in a short period. Highs, lows, FOMO, stupid premiums, watching people cash out on the way down only to buy back on the way up, religious like faith in silver, the second coming, the jubilation, disappointment & outrage. It's been fascinating.
Good luck everybody.

For small run stuff, this mint in Malaysia is the place to go, they will do runs as low as 50 pieces!

May I have the shavings? I can supply the blades but they tend to leave a lot of chunky filings ;)

There would be a fair bit of shavings, about a 1mm thick blade,  but if you set up a plastic sheet under the saw to catch it and melt it into a blob. it would probably end up being a few ounces
