I won't be too harsh on Darwin as he is from a very different era. His judgement of what he refers to as " civilized races " & then refers to others as " savage races ".
I'm not so sure modern society is "civilized" given the death & destruction that we inflict on others & the constant destruction/degradation of the natural environment.
Just because a society chooses a different approach to living in harmony with their environment ( like an Amazon Jungle tribe ) doesn't automatically make them " savages ". They just have a different way of connecting to & living within their environment.
Darwin is more about spirited world, when Satan is worship and genes got edited
