Its great to put it all on the line! Bravo. Must have taken a while to rehydrate. I remember running into the ocean just sth of there for a dip whilst cycle touring and having 8m long kelp wrap around me in the swell and kinda freaking out.

Do you have a picture of that minnow? I have made many lures in my time from beer cans to plastic straws, feathers, and even crap the beach spews up, string, plastic, and wood; they all work well. I like using alfoil from coffee tins for lures these work tremendously well.

Yes, southern bluefin in Tasmania or the odd occasion in the South Australian bite being rare. I prefer the yellow-fin tuna myself, raw or cooked as its northern cousin. Great fun catching.
