The only thing hold my thoughts of the future in some semblance of sanity is, that I live in AUS & we have a lot of distance from most things/places. AUS society is relatively Stable ( there maybe pockets of trouble ). AUS is self sufficient in food, etc. But AUS Achilles Heal is Fuel. AUS has 30 days of petrol storage & 45 days of diesel storage. We have no oil that we can refine for ourselves. That could be a real problem in the event of sustained world wide troubles. We have massive amounts of LNG but converting everything to Gas will take quite some time & a lot of effort/resources.

The Problem with this world and our country and every other including the USA is, When our favourite political side is in power, as supporters we dont demand better of them. we follow them even when they are clearly doing a shit job or doing wrong, we Point to the other side as the reason for why our guy is so shit. this goes for the right and the left, that is how they get away with it.
