The kid makes sense about Australia's ability to sustain itself. Politicians are complicit in getting to where we are but I think it is driven by groups that want this outcome and have planned and acted to get us here. He is 100% right that politicians need to be held to account but their handlers also need to be exposed and held to account so they don't just get behind the next collection of grifters.Administrator said:

"Salt rush" (???) started after Japan began dumping radioactive water into the Pacific Ocean from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. Earlier, the Chinese government banned the import of all aquatic products from Japan because Japanese authorities could not prove the safety of the dumped water. As portal hk01 notes, the Chinese are worried that food-grade sea salt will soon be contaminated with radiation.
Authorities claim that 90% of the salt is extracted from salt mines and lakes, so there will be enough supplies to meet demand and urge people to "buy salt rationally according to their needs".
