that are apparently Governing Victoria AUS are looking to ban Knives longer than 20 cm. Mmm, they are clueless it seems about knives in general, as a sharp 5 cm pocket knife can slash someone's throat & they will bleed to death in less than a minute.
As far as Banning deadly things, maybe start with Cars
. Cars kill 
100 X more people than Knives do. So if ur looking to save peoples lives, a good start will be to Ban cars
Even better, Ban people from leaving their homes, as lot's of people Die after leaving their homes
