Australia to be "functionally cashless" by 2025

I think a UBI will be the big draw-card into CBDC adoption. The number of people already relying on some form of gov handouts (by design) is staggering. Especially when you consider FTB where the gov takes it in one hand (income tax), then hands it back with the other.

All they'd really need to advance CBDC adoption is to pay gov employees, welfare recipients, and FTB in a CBDC. Like China is doing.



Makes me sick how easily it could be done, but more so how easily it could all be stopped if people just woke up and knew the truth.

its like having a digital lock, and suddenly the lock is not working, so your entry is refused.
 
Yes with banks shop around. People are lazy and never check what taxes the banks take from their savings, plebs just accept the theft as everyday life dealings. As we all know fiat in a bank is not safe, so take care with your wealth because they will not. Cheers

Pro-cash activists are expected to flock to ATMs to withdraw money next week in protest of Australia's move to a cashless society.

Dubbed "Draw Out Some Cash Day", demonstrators intend to take out sums of $20 or more on Tuesday with the hope of pouring cash back into businesses.

"Everyone who can, go to your banks ATM and draw out some cash," reads a social media post.
