A very good look at asbestos in our environment.

Scary. I worked in Heavy Industry in the 1980's. I know I was exposed.

But I never slept in the bin of asbestos sheets that some of the night shift workers would take a quick nap in ( because it was warm on a near zero degree night in the middle of winter )

Stories go back to 1913 when certain Industries ( those that used asbestos ) paid higher insurance rates because of higher rates of worker illness. They knew something was wrong, but just paid the higher premiums & got on with making a profit.

I dont get it! 200,000 dead from this element per year. But 1.9 million estimate dead from car accidents ( world wide ) come on .
200,000 is a recognized number. Many more are the silent dead.

It's that ur workplace exposed u to an " Unnecessary " risk of death is the issue.

I ride M/C & know the risk. That's my choice to make.

Smoking is a choice. Having ur workplace poison/infect/contaminate u is not a choice when it's hidden from u.
