What's the story behind these restrikes? I'm an amateur when it comes to this stuff and don't really know how to value it other than gold content! Any gold coin boffins out there willing to give a run-down on their worth?
The main reason that I bought these coins was that it's quite rare in Australia,  Quality at least about uncirculated and weights almost 1/10 oz of gold content.
It's also a very  beautiful looking coin.
Most of the popular Ducats are also restrikes and I believe  that the British government also produced restrucked Sovereigns.
Even the Perth mint has restruck the 1 oz Kookaburras .
