EG, a young guy ( mid 30's now ) I know brought a 1 acre block of vacant land ( no services, just a dirt road running past ), outside of a small rural town called Batesford, Victoria, about 10 yrs ago, with the view to eventually build a house on it. The Rates/Land Tax was a few $100 when he brought it around 2014. At the end of 2024 he got his Rates/Land Tax bill. The block of vacant land ( no services ) had been changed to Undeveloped Land & the Bill was for nearly $13,000
Fucking Gov Robbery in plain sight, but they write the rules & say it's LEGAL
