Sadly, AI is destined to changed the landscape of our existence. There'll be lot of benefits (there has to be) and a whole range of downsides. I imagine society is going to be struck down with psychological disorders, as we're denied even the most basic forms of human interaction and the very essence of what we are.
Generations born 20 years from now won't know a life without the presence of AI. Millennials will speak of a time they carried phones around in their pockets, and they'll be viewed as relics of the past, much the same as they view us, as the new generation completely integrates themselves with this evolving technology.
No matter where you choose to invest, nothing short of a cataclysm is going to prevent the widespread adoption of AI. Of all known history, 'Crony Capitalism' may well be in it's most dangerous form. The corporate elite and our government will ensure we move forward with AI, and it will be to the detriment of us all.
