An example of the decline of America ( Empire )

America built 68,000 miles of interstate Highways after WWII. They have been doing planning & some pre-work on building the countries ( California's ) 1'st true high speed rail line. ATM the average speed of US HST's ( High Speed Train ) 83 mph, with top speed of around 120 mph. California has spent in excess of $7 Billion ( & over 20 yrs ) & has yet to actually lay the 1'st piece of track 😂

Just read an article on Zerohedge -

China's 373MPH Maglev Train Debuts, Slashing Travel Time Between Cities -

Japan has had HST's for decades & keeps improving the trains & network. The Chinese are planning to have 50,000 mile of HST network by the end of this year. 😲

Maybe, just maybe, the US could consult with Japan/China on HST's & not try to invent & build HST & network from scratch, mmm, just a thought

I think the biggest difference is that US railways are privately owned and all the others, especially the high speed ones, are government run. I don't know if they make money.

Maybe the US Gov does need to be involved to get some actual progress happening. From what I've read/understand, the Californian State Gov is very heavily involved in their HST project.

The point I was trying to put across is that the US HST projects lack of any real progress for the waste of over $7 Billion, ( without having laid any actual rail track ) is just another sign of America's Decay into the " Fall of a once Great Empire " 😔

Thanx for ur reply & insight Steveno 😁
