Looks to me like there was a short squeeze in gold on the opening of Asian trading. Gold is settling back down now.

I suspect part of the issue with (lack of) fizz and excitement is that people (in general - not specifically Silveroos) are overwhelmed with problems of the last few years - inflation, supply chain shocks, possibly underwater on PM investments, domestic politics, wars globally, etc. It's hard...
