AUS has no crude oil. AUS imports ALL of it's Petrol & Diesel.

AUS only has storage of 30 DAYS for Petrol & 45 DAYS for Diesel.

When the ships stop bringing Petrol & Diesel, Chips may not be the MOST IMPORTANT thing on most peoples agenda.

That's just 1 example. The world is TOTALLY interconnected.

The whole problem is Governments Bailing out Corporations/Banks. If they don't have a profitable business model or make decisions that lead to bankruptcy they should die & better Business's/People should replace them. Government picking winners/losers IS THE PROBLEM !
 
Assuming world supply chains don't crash, the race for AI supremacy is up there with the most important geo political things happening at the moment.

I think that 30% food cost inflation, the highest payment delinquency rates in 15 yrs & 60% of ur population living paycheck to paycheck are more important issues than who has the smartest AI.

I don't know ur personal position. But a very large part of society is on the edge of Breakdown.

Societal revolution is never a good thing, but it happens when society passes a breaking point.

Where that breaking point is ? that is a very big unknown.

Sometimes in war you have limited options and none of them are perfect.
It was better than endless lockdowns and total supply chain collapse and cities starving to death.

Trump has put a 50% Tariff on India because it continues to Buy Russian Oil. Modi ( India ) Has made no statements about India ceasing Russian Oil purchases. India did make a statement that it is the EU that is eventually buy the Russian Oil that India is just refining ( so the hypocritical EU, with it's sanctions on Russian Energy products, is the end purchaser of refined Russian Oil )

Trump may end up turning India Away from the USA's influence as it look's to maintain it's independence, but still willing to strike strategic Alliances/Deals that benefit India's long term outlook.

It also looks like part of India's long term strategy is to continue it's slow decline in UST holdings as the Central Bank of India continues with significant & ongoing GOLD purchases.

I think that would be a fat chance considering Russia and India are major members of the BRICS alliance.

I have read articles/opinions that placed India as the weakest member of the BRICS alliance.

I think Trumps action are turning India into a Solid Member of the BRICS alliance.

India has, since it's independence, had strong self interest at heart ( as countries do ). But I think that it's stance on the Russian Oil issue is showing that India see's in best interest may be within the BRICS alliance.

I'd be certain the whole world knows the dollar is doomed, but some nations understand they have no other choice but to go down with that ship. India exports a lot to the US and has quite a large trade surplus, and petroleum products are their main imports from America. I think you're absolutely correct in saying India is in a position to choose what's best for them.

100% agree with u mate. I think the US has it's hands full ATM though.

If the Russia-Ukraine conflict ends, the US could potentially push Pakistan into conflict with India & the US would again use Pakistan as a Proxy to purse it's agenda against India 😲

Trump is an EXPANSIONIST ! He can use a proxy conflict in Pakistan/India to distract the world from his Expansionist Agenda :devilish:

Venezuela seems to be in the sights of the US ATM. Venezuela is a VERY resource rich country nice & close to the USA :unsure:
