I got about 1500 out of an ATM at a bank in the last week and went to the counter to get $100 notes the slimy staff wanted ID and my ATM card before they would change it. It annoys me so I told them to FO (I know it's meaningless they could check the ATM).

I think we have a serious parasite infestation.
All FIRE (finance insurance and real estate) businesses are out of control, this is where government regulations should be focused. Of course government is another parasite problem that is only helping serious donors or groups that have dirt on them.
The shifty part of that interview is that he keeps focusing on how he feels accused and the bad manners around asking. Trying to avoid discussing the dead persons accusations and claims.

I don't agree with some things you post and I really like other things. It's good that you are engaged here.
We're a similar age so I think we'd get on in the real world.
I think the biggest difference is that US railways are privately owned and all the others, especially the high speed ones, are government run. I don't know if they make money.
Also it's called Crypto.
Which organisations might have the most cryptography expertise, I would suggest agencies like NSA and GCHQ, although it is unlikely they would be involved in anything nefarious!
I also got a bit nostalgic. I used to have a Charger E48 which was great to drive. The new price of the performance cars was just over $4k I think, so 30% more. But I understand that seemed expensive at the time.
